i dont agree with paul on many things but on most things especially medicine hes spot on

The World Health Organization's ranking of the world's healthcare systems revealed that France was no:1. It's no wonder because 40% of the French people use Homeopathy. The French are the highest consumers of Homeopathy in the world. The U.S.'s flawed healthcare system which is predominantly Allopathy, ranked at no.35 way below 3rd world countries such as Colombia, Chile, Dominica, Costa Rica and Singapore.

One payer system is the only way to go. Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford. People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.

I appreciate Ron Paul's philosophy. I do wonder, however, what the difference between "corporate" health care and "free market" HC would would be. n-e-1? I also have this for Dr. Paul's consideration. The Constitution DOES place the government in charge of fostering the Arts and Sciences and acting for the good of the people. Seems to me that Dr Paul would cast out the baby with & the water in the interest of free markets. Media & medical control exclusively in private hands mite b a bad idea.

I am from the UK, though I have lived in the US for about 10 years. The national healtcare system in the UK is not perferct, and we sure do complain about it, but it's a hell-of-a-lot better than that 3rd-world health system in the states. I like the states, but the country is behind the developed world in healthcare. It should be a right.

So basically you are saying that you wouldn't mind companies like Enron, Lehman Brothers, and Worldcom running the US Navy, Army, Air Force and Marine Corps. Or maybe Washington Mutual, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. No thanks. The military is part of the federal government, and should remain so. And Healthcare is too important to put in the hands of profiteers.

so basically ur saying, things that matter should be left up to the federal government?...well, let me ask u something...how good a job has the federal government done with managing all of it's programs and bureaucracies?..when u give the government control over the marketplace, they completely ruin it, yet, the most important things should be left to them?...government isn't reason, or eloquence...it is force...it should manage as least as possible

Should NASA be a free market space agency? What about the military...should that be free market? Healthcare? NO! Things that matter should never be left up to shareholder interests.

Government controlled health care is not only totalitarian but an act of state aggression upon the sovereign citizen who alone has the right (using their own money) to choose what medical advice and treatment to get without state interference, oversight or funding. Socialized medicine just like any other state controlled entity brings about higher prices and lower quality, such as waiting 3-5 months for a MRI and up to a year to see a specialist. I should know, I live in miserable Canada!
